This large-flowered clematis has deep rose-pink single flowers with darker central bars and chocolate coloured anthers, which are produced late spring and early summer and sometimes again in September. The flowers are approx. 10-15cm in diameter.

This clematis is ideal for being grown in a pot or container and prefers to be grown in full sun with its roots shaded and ideally covered in a thick mulch in late winter.

Feed regularly for best floral display and water regularly, but don't over-water.

Pruning

This is a Group 2 Clematis and should be pruned in late winter or early spring cutting back any dead or weak stems with the remaining stems being cut back to the highest strong growing buds. It can also be lightly pruned after the first flush of flowers in early summer.
