Dense spires of tiny pale pink flowers appear in midsummer above a neat mound of shiny serrated blue-green leaves. This astilbe is ideal for a moist bog garden or water's edge but it will also do well in containers if it is kept well watered. This cultivar has long-lasting flowers and will grow in full sun. In drier soils it will need to be in a shady spot.
- Garden care: Newly planted astilbes need to be well watered until they are established. Lift and divide large clumps every three or four years discarding old woody rhizomes.
