This deciduous tree has attractive, orangey-brown, peeling bark on it’s stems and trunk. The bark is the colour of cinnamon and peels away naturally in thin layers hence this tree’s common name paper bark.This feature makes Acer griseum a good choice for a winter garden. It is also an excellent tree for autumn colour; the deep green, 3-lobed leaves turn brilliant shades of orange and scarlet in autumn. Plant Acer griseum in full view of your windows to enjoy the bark all year round.

Garden Care: Add a top-dressing of a multi-purpose fertiliser around the base of a recently planted tree in late spring and keep well watered. No routine pruning is necessary. Remove any dead, damaged or crossing branches in April.
