This has been my first year having a garden and I have Connecticut field pumpkins growing...They've done the best so far out of all my plants, but now I'm seeing thousands of tiny black eggs on the underside of a couple of the leaves along with white eggs here and there. I thought they were squash bugs and put some natural pesticide on the underside and on top of the leaf to try and kill them, but now I'm thinking they may not be squash bugs, since after I looked up squash bug eggs, I realized they look NOTHING like squash bug eggs. Could they possibly be aphids? Do aphids go after pumpkins? What can I do to save my pumpkin? Also, one of the leaves have some off white colored spots on it. What does that mean?
