This herbaceous perennial spreads by rhizomes and soon forms a clump. Kirengeshoma palmata has palmate, light green leaves. The largest leaves are at the base of the plant. Tube-shaped lemon-yellow flowers are produced in late summer and early autumn. A good plant to grow in a shady site, providing the soil is reliably moist.
